To unfold a yoga mat is to unfold a whole world. To step into practice is to share in an enquiry that is thousands of years old and more relevant today than it has ever been. Yoga invites us to consider what it means to take care of our lives and to cultivate the practices that alleviate human suffering. I am passionate about the transformational potential of yoga and would love to show you how yoga can change your life. I am a London-based yogi teaching alignment-based hatha yoga. I guide students in small group classes and on retreats in Sardinia and Somerset, on a journey through breath work, meditation and physical postures with a focus on the slow and safe development of strength, flexibility, stamina and deep relaxation. My yoga enquiry forms part of a larger, holistic curiosity about how to live well and cultivate self-care as the means not just to survive the stresses of modern life, but to thrive and flourish. I believe that in a world of modern maladies caused by overwork and lifestyles that are out of alignment with the conditions for human flourishing, yoga and meditation are often the best medicine.

Many men assume yoga is only for flexible, fit women, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. My classes welcome men of all backgrounds and abilities to experience the strength, balance, and grounding power of alignment-based hatha yoga.
Over six weeks, I gently guide students through different techniques to develop a sustainable, enjoyable meditation practice — supporting them in overcoming the challenges of seated meditation and discovering it as a life-long source of insight and calm.
One-to-one sessions of Spinal Release or Sun Salutations make possible a careful, private and guided enquiry into the limitations, frustrations, injuries, particular areas of resistance, or curiosity that arise as your practice and life evolves over time.
The spinal release practice uses gentle breathwork and slow, restorative postures to ease tension, liberate the spine and back, shoulders and neck, and bring the nervous system back into balance, supporting the body’s natural capacity to heal.
Strong yet unhurried classes that build strength, alignment, and freedom through mindful movement and breath. Suitable for all levels, they weave together yoga, meditation, breathwork, and Qi Gong to awaken vitality and restore balance to body and mind.
Yoga is a warrior's practice. This is not just because the physical postures bring about strength in the body and mind, although that certainly happens over time. Ultimately, yoga is heart medicine: it asks us to be brave enough to be vulnerable and it prepares us to stand in the truth of what we need to know about our lives in order to come back into alignment with ourselves, to heal and to feel and to flourish. Only then can we bring about meaningful change in our physical, mental and emotional well being.
The practice requires discipline in the best sense of the word - a constant openness to and dedication to learning. Again and again, we come to the mat and together, teacher and student, we journey through the seasons of the year and the challenges of life. Sometimes, we need more than a regular weekly class can offer and need or want to draw more deeply on the potential of a whole range of practices across a dedicated and longer period of time alongside the teacher on a one-to-one basis. This is the Warrior's Way - a dedicated mentorship and wellbeing plan that guides you home to yourself and explores the conditions for freedom and flourishing.
Perhaps you already have an established yoga practice and have found the courage to bring about major life change. You realise that you would benefit from deepening your practice and your resources as you navigate the year ahead of you. Working with me on a one-to-one basis in person, or online across all yoga practices, having one-to-one mentoring sessions in person, or online and attending both winter and summer retreats provide a timeline and deeply supportive structure for your journey through change.
Serious illness and difficult life events bring about a need for profound recuperation and realignment - a sense of needing to stop and reevaluate - to find a way back to life - but with a fear of now knowing how to create the conditions for a different way not just to recover and get back to business as usual, but to put in place the new habits, disciplines and routines that will allow a person to flourish and begin to thrive.
Increasingly, I am hearing that people from all walks of life are feeling lost. Young people speak about loneliness and alienation in an era defined by environmental crisis and the economy of social media appearances. Older people who have worked hard to 'have it all' report feeling a disturbing sense of discontent; they are often burnt out in highly competitive and demanding jobs that drain their life's energies, or they are out of touch with their life purpose and searching for meaning and a way forward more in alignment with values and goals revealed through a process of discovery at an important time of transition.

I recognise that reaching out for support and making first contact can be difficult. My mission is to encourage a kind, and compassionate engagement with the process of recovery and transformation. You are welcome to speak to me about any aspect of your life's journey and to explore how I might best serve your needs as we collaborate to design personalised care for you.
On the last Saturday of each month, I lead a silent walk through the ancient woodland of Beckenham Place Park in London. Silent walking is a beautiful meditation technique that adds to our practices of contemplation in nature and supports general wellbeing as well as heart and lung health. Enjoy walking in the company of a heartfelt community of yogis and contribute to our support of Papyrus, the charity that works tirelessly to prevent youth suicide. We meet in the flower gardens near the courtyard of the Homestead Café at 8.30am and enjoy a chatty coffee after our walk.
I am trained in the tradition of Alignment-based Hatha yoga. I trained at Triyoga in London with the celebrated yoga teachers Anna Ashby and Joey Miles.
1-2-1 yoga sessions happen in one of the following locations: my beautiful private practice space in Southeast London, the loft studio at Honor Oak Wellness Rooms in South London, a lovely studio space in central London near King's Cross, or online.
